L. Vernon & Co, Inc. was first established in 1977 by Leroy Vernon, to help furnish churches with quality products at reasonable prices. Through many years of hard work, Leroy worked to establish personal relationships with his customers and manufacturers by providing the products his customers needed at affordable prices.

In 1998, Leroy’s son Rick Vernon entered the business with the desire to carry on his father's legacy. Rick soon decided to change the company's name to Church Outlet, Inc. to emphasize its expansive line of church products. The name may be new, but the company's commitment to quality products, reasonable prices, and personal relationships with customers is as strong as ever.
